A gift of better understanding of our environment both locally and globally. A Complete Learning Educationally Meaningful Program. GLOBE Program fostered the creation of a countrywide green-network, comprised of students and teachers in collaboration with environmental scientists for the purpose of generating knowledge about the environment.

Phase 1:

Initially, eight states of the country namely Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Maharashtra, Orissa, Goa, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttranchal were selected on the pilot basis for implementing this hands-on environmental learning programme.

Phase 2:

After one year, the programme was extended to eight additional states i.e. Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Chattisgarh, Sikkim, Tripura, Himachal Pradesh.
