The project will explore all possibilities of scaling up of the
program. The outreach activities will help to promote local interest
and support for hands-on environmental learning activities. Intensive
orientation will be provided to school communities to involve
local citizens and the media to join students in making scientific
measurements and observation. The students will be encouraged
to submit articles and photographs to the local newspaper. In
association with the school community, IES
will make efforts to involve local business groups and corporate
houses in promoting the EE activities.
Exchange Visit
As a part of outreach activities an Exchange Visit to the GLOBE
Head Quarter in USA, will be organised. This will provide an opportunity
to the Policy Planners from the MoEF, Representatives from SDE,
NGOs and other educational institutes to get exposed to innovative
and pioneering EE efforts across the world. Their inputs may contribute
to improvement of the program. This may also facilitate strengthening
co-operation between India and International Agencies to meet
the challenges of Environmental Education.
