The GLOBE PROGRAM

1. Providing a common platform to interact with the students and teachers on environmental issues.

2. Helping a lot in spreading and disseminating environmental knowledge and concepts to large number of people.

3. Providing “Hands-on Environmental Experience” on environmental concepts to the students to carry out various measurements.

4. Motivating students to learn about scientific protocols by performing environmental learning activities, which are already introduced as theory in the greened textbooks.

About GLOBE Program

Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE) is a hands - on international environmental science and educational program. The GLOBE Programme was introduced in April 1994 by U. S. Vice President Al Gore.

GLOBE links students, teachers, and the scientific research community in an effort to learn more about the environment through student data collection and observation. Thus GLOBE is a hands - on, minds - on effort in which students will become the environmental expert.
